Carbon is our first homebred champion. For his championship we received the Bred By Medallion from AKC for showing him exclusively in the Bred By Exhibitor class. Linda started showing him as an older puppy (and even won the breed their first time out), the I showed for a while and got his first major, a 5 - pointer, the day of his second birthday. That winter he finished by winning a 4 - point major. Now that he is retired from showing, he runs in wheel on our recreational team. Even though he is a foofy show dog, he is a dedicated worker and always has a positive attitude (even when we're lost).
| Carbon got his name as a puppy because he looked like a carbon copy of his father, Griz. Since his mother was Tracey, he had to have trace in his registered name, so Trace Elements seemed to go conveniently well with Carbon.
